The Community Foundation of Boone County (CFBC) has announced the promotion of Hope Coons to Vice President of Community Impact, effective October 1. Coons previously served as CFBC’s Director of Community Engagement.
The expanded leadership role reflects CFBC’s continued growth and the changing needs of Boone County. Over the past three years, CFBC’s assets have grown from $32 million to $45 million, increasing both the Foundation’s capacity and the scope of its work.
As Vice President of Community Impact, Coons will lead CFBC’s community impact work and help identify where the Foundation is best positioned to make a difference. She will work closely with Chief Executive Officer Julie Reagan to shape organizational strategy, evaluate opportunities, coordinate priorities, and advance CFBC’s community impact goals.

Hope is a strategic and relationship-focused leader who understands the importance of listening, building trust, and bringing people together. In this role, she will help us see where CFBC can have the greatest impact and bring the right people and resources together to move that work forward.”
As a member of CFBC’s leadership team, Coons will help provide strategic direction across the Foundation’s programs, grantmaking, partnerships, communications, operations, and emerging initiatives. She will maintain a strong presence throughout Boone County, expand CFBC’s partnerships, strengthen collaboration across the organization, and lead a growing team focused on community impact.
