Boone County Leadership (BCL) aims to develop a county-wide leadership network, equipping participants to become responsible, active, and well-informed citizens who are ready to collaboratively work to address local issues, embrace the growth coming to our community, and help Boone County excel as an exceptional place to live, work, and play.

About Boone County Leadership (BCL)

Application Directions: The application must be completed in full and received no later than 11:59 pm on December 31, 2024. A committee of CFBC volunteers, staff, and board of directors will evaluate the written applications, interview potential candidates, and select qualified applicants. Successful applicants will possess demonstrated community interest, self-motivation, and strong character. The selection committee is looking to fill a diverse cohort of enthusiastic philanthropists representing various backgrounds and geographic areas of Boone County who demonstrate their potential for leadership and services to their communities, and who are willing to translate the benefits of the program into a greater level of participation.

    Financial Commitment & Scholarships

    The tuition per participant is $1,000. Community and alumni support makes it possible to offer limited financial assistance to those in need, removing barriers to participation and encouraging greater diversity and inclusion for individuals of all abilities. Tuition assistance requests are considered only after the class selection process is complete and will in no way impact consideration of your Boone County Leadership application. A limited number of scholarships of up to 90 percent of the total tuition are provided by the Community Foundation of Boone County. The scholarship is available to one individual per organization. The applicant is responsible for securing funding to cover the remaining balance of the tuition, whether through personal funds, employer, or community sponsor.
