Applications Received
We saw an increase of more than 60 applications this year when compared to last year. We are excited to announce the Class of 2023 Scholarship Recipients in the coming weeks at the school awards ceremonies!

CFBC Announces First Round of 2023 Rolling & Matching Grantees
Congratulations to our first cycle 2023 rolling grantees, with the funds focused solely on programming support:
- Girls on the Run Central Indiana: To ensure inclusivity with after-school activity programs
- Indiana Diaper Bank: To address local diaper need
- Rachael’s First Week: To protect the lives of teens transitioning into young adults
We also congratulate our first cycle 2023 matching grantees, with the funds supporting the education of and development in Mental Health:
- Boone County Mentoring Partnership
- Boys & Girls Club of Boone County
- The Cabin Counseling & Resource Center
Each matching grantee will raise funds April 15 – June 15, 2023. Visit their website, learn about their mission, and donate during this timeframe to have your dollars matched by CFBC!
Sylvia’s Child Advocacy Center: Women of Impact First-Quarter Grantee
On March 8, Women of Impact Boone County members gathered together at Ulen Country Club and voted Sylvia’s Child Advocacy Center (CAC) to be the 2023 first-quarter grantee.
The team at Sylvia’s CAC works to reduce trauma to child victims of abuse by allowing them to tell their story in a safe, comfortable, and child-focused environment, with a trained forensic interviewer who will ask age-appropriate and non-leading questions.
This $11,410 grant is the largest first-quarter grant in the history of Women of Impact Boone County, since it’s inception in 2017. The remaining 2023 meetings at June 6, Sept. 5, and Nov. 8. CFBC Launches 2023 Boone County Nonprofit Network Series
Boone County Nonprofit Network offers free opportunities for Boone County-serving nonprofits to connect and collaborate with other nonprofit peers serving all of Boone County.
On Jan. 12, 2023, 32 nonprofits joined together to discuss Connect Boone County an online tool coordinated by CFBC to unite local nonprofits with local resources through volunteer matching, donations, and more.
On Apr. 13, 2023, 34 attendees focused on the topic of grant writing. Local nonprofits Humane Society for Boone County and Mental Health America of Boone County shared their experiences and tips with attendees, along with answering questions on best practices.

The Director of Donor Advancement will represent the organization to the community, donors, board members, and other constituencies. The Director of Donor Advancement is a fundraiser who will assist the CEO in development activities throughout Boone County focusing on annual giving, community leadership initiatives, and fund management. They will further the organization’s mission to unite people, organizations, and philanthropy to create a thriving community for all.
