Reynolds Named President and CEO of Foundation

The Community Foundation of Boone County announced today that Kristi Reynolds has been named President and CEO of the Community Foundation of Boone County.

Reynolds, who has led fund development and communications for the Foundation since 2015, has served as Co-Interim Leader since March.  Kristi has professional experience in program development, grant writing, fundraising, counseling and case management.  She will begin as new leadership on June 1, 2016.

“Our search for a new CEO yielded over 25 applicants and a number of very impressive candidates,” said Board Chair Beth Casselman. “She emerged as an extraordinary match for CFBC’s mission and vision.  She has a passion for this community and instincts that cannot be taught. Kristi is stepping up to a leadership role at an exciting time in the 25-year history of the CFBC and we are enthused by her energy.”

Prior to joining the foundation in 2015, Reynolds led the SCORE Mentoring Program from 2013-2015 for which she received the Youth Services Leadership Award.  She served as Director of Annual Giving for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Indiana and as Case Manager and Coordinator of a ½ million dollar federal grant to house the homeless with ASPIRE Indiana, here in Boone County.  Her first job after graduating from Indiana University was as an Addictions Counselor for CRC Health Group.  A 2013 graduate of The Boone County Leadership Program, Reynolds currently serves as Secretary of The Lebanon Rotary Club, Co-Chair of Events for the Lebanon Cleanest City Initiative, Member of the Prevent Child Abuse Indiana-Boone County Committee, Board Member and Finance Committee with the Witham Family YMCA and is mentor to 13 year old Michelle.  In her free time, Kristi is an avid runner and swimmer and enjoys traveling to participate in half-marathons and triathlons– her favorite destination race being Key West.  Raised on a farm in rural Carroll County, Kristi met her husband, Matt, in college. He is from Boone County and she moved here in 2003.  Kristi and Matt have two young children, Evan and Ellie, and reside in Lebanon.

“I love this community and am excited for the opportunity to help make decisions that will impact Boone County for the better.” said Reynolds, “What I love most about the Community Foundation is our ability to bring people together—donors, nonprofits, businesses, local leaders— to make great things happen. I am honored by the board’s confidence in me and I look forward to becoming more involved county-wide in this new role. I have some pretty big shoes to fill and I’m ready to roll up my sleeves and get started!”
