The Community Foundation of Boone County awards grants to nonprofit organizations to address the current, local, ever-changing needs. We are able to do this through established endowed funds held at CFBC and donors who are passionate about making a difference in our Boone County communities. Simply put, donations increase the amount we are able to award out every year.

CFBC has partnered with Daisy’s Designs, a local Lebanon business, to sell #BooneImpact masks and raise money for additional grantmaking. Thanks to community partners and supporters, a portion of proceeds will be donated to CFBC for every mask sold! $4 from each mask will be donated to CFBC from Daisy’s Designs. Once applied to our Community Impact Fund, that $4 will then be tripled due to the $1 million matching gift campaign from Lilly Endowment Inc. we are in. Monies in the Community Impact Fund allow CFBC to give back locally as needs arise, to promote leadership training and development, and to be an overall support system for all of Boone County.

This grant is part of Lilly Endowment’s seventh phase of its Giving Indiana Funds for Tomorrow (GIFT) initiative and is focused on raising, investing, and pouring gifts back into Boone County. Through the initiative, Lilly Endowment is making grants of up to $125 million to Indiana community foundations, to help them support the local communities they serve. The grant triples any donation made to the Community Impact Fund, to any existing unrestricted fund, or to establish a new named unrestricted fund to support local grantmaking, by matching $2 for every $1 gifted.

We thank you for supporting the Community Foundation of Boone County through your mask purchase! To continue supporting the work of CFBC and make a contribution to our Community Impact Fund (where your gift will be tripled thanks to Lilly Endowment), click here.

Since 1991, the Community Foundation of Boone County has granted over $25 million from its various funds to nonprofit organizations and programs working to solve critical challenges in Boone County. Through the generosity of donors, the Foundation currently holds over $25 million in assets and awards an average of $1 million back into the local community each year. In the past 29 years, we have worked with donors to create permanent funds for charitable giving. The establishment and growth of permanent endowment funds will strengthen Boone County for generations to come.
