The Board of Directors of the Community Foundation of Boone County (CFBC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Julie Reagan, the current Vice President of Advancement, as the Interim CEO, effective immediately.

Julie brings a wealth of experience to her new role, having served CFBC for nearly five years in various capacities, including marketing, granting, and development. She has also overseen scholarships and education, reinforcing the foundation’s commitment to community growth and betterment.

“Julie’s proven leadership, commitment to our mission, and deep roots in Boone County make her the perfect choice to guide the organization through this transitional period,” says Shawna Lake, Chair of the CFBC Board of Directors. “She has not only gained the trust and confidence of the Board but also has a great rapport with our staff, donors, community members, and the approximately 175 nonprofits we serve.”

Julie holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and a master’s degree in organizational leadership. Her strong educational background and professional expertise equip her to take on the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for CFBC.

As an active resident of Boone County, Julie’s local knowledge and community engagement are unmatched. She has consistently demonstrated a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that the community faces, making her well-positioned to lead at this time.
