Members of the Women of Impact Boone County (WOI) philanthropic giving group brought their passion for supporting local nonprofits together for the final time in 2023. Indy Hygiene Hub was voted as the 2023 fourth-quarter grant recipient. This local nonprofit was awarded a check for $15,000 – the highest WOI grant this year. In total in 2023, Women of Impact has awarded grants totaling $49,830 in 2023 and $302,420 since the group’s inception.

Indy Hygiene Hub provides hygiene items to families to affirm dignity and restore hope. The provided items cannot be purchased with food stamps and are often hard to acquire. Indy Hygiene Hub is built on community, stewardship, authenticity, compassion, and respect.

In Boone County, Indy Hygiene Hub serves more than 200 families. sixty-one percent are children, and 47% have an income of $0 – $10,000. This Women of Impact grant makes a major impact with these families and allows Indy Hygiene Hub to grow their partnership with Indiana Diaper Bank (another WOI grantee!) and the WIC offices to distribute products. Indy Hygiene Hub will partner with the school systems to provide bags of hygiene items to kids in need and is actively working to start a project of getting female hygiene products to girls in the schools. This grant will help Indy Hygiene Hub expand their efforts.
