ILADD, Inc. (Intellectual Living for Adults with Developmental/Intellectual Disabilities) is one of four Boone County-serving nonprofit organizations to receive a $30,000 matching grant. All four organizations, ILADD, Inc. SAWs, Boone County Cancer Society, and Boone County Senior Services, Inc., committed to raising $30,000 between May 1 – September 1, 2022. We proudly announce that ILADD is the second nonprofit to receive its matching grant.
ILADD, Inc. provides housing, enrichment/educational programs, and social options that enable adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities (IDD) to live in their own homes and enjoy fulfilling and meaningful lives in their communities. Since its formation in 2019, ILADD programs have grown to serve 70 adults with IDD through independent living classes, social outings, and clubs, including Book Club, Hiking Club, Community Service Club, and Game Club. ILADD also offers informational seminars and networking for self-advocates, families, guardians, caregivers, and the public.
We’re very excited to, once again, partner with the Community Foundation of Boone County. These grant dollars will continue furthering ILADD’s programs and moving forward in our mission to promote the full inclusion of adults with IDD in our society.
The Community Foundation of Boone County has now awarded $285,000 in impact grants this year, with ILADD, Inc. being the most recent grant recipient of a $30,000 impact matching grant. In August, Servants at Work (SAWs) received a $30,000 matching grant. In spring 2022, a total of $150,000 went to the Big 4 Trail for mile marker signage and murals, and $75,000 went to Isaiah 117 House Boone County, a local nonprofit organization providing support in a safe and loving home for children awaiting foster care placement.
Our entire CFBC team is thrilled to continue seeing the matching grant recipients each reach their goal of raising $30,000 so CFBC can in turn match it with $30,000. We are dedicated to stewarding our dollars in ways that impact all populations and areas of impact of our Boone County communities, including our disabled residents.
We appreciate everything ILADD is doing to promote inclusivity!
