Community Foundation of Boone County (CFBC) is proud to offer two distinct granting programs this year, which provide the opportunity for eligible Boone County-serving nonprofits to apply for two CFBC grants in 2023 – one application per program. We are excited to announce our second-round of 2023 grant recipients (see the first-round recipients here).
Congratulations to our second cycle of matching grantees, with the funds going to support the education of and development of the elderly:
- Boone County Senior Services, Inc. – $20,000
- Senior Citizens Inc. Lebanon – $6,000
Each grantee will raise funds between July 15 – September 15, 2023. We encourage you to visit their websites, learn more about their mission, and donate during this timeframe, which CFBC will match up to the awarded amount.
Boone County Senior Services will be using their grant and raising funds for their personal and transportation services. Senior Citizens Inc. Lebanon will use their grant and matching donations to provide more programming and allow for opening their Center at additional times. Stay tuned as we will share updates on their fundraising efforts.
We also congratulate our second cycle 2023 rolling grantees, with the funds being focused solely on programming support:
“We are grateful to our Grants Committee for reviewing the needs of local nonprofits and taking on the difficult task of where grant funds should be allocated. We look forward to continuing these programs for the third cycle and fulfilling additional grant requests.”
– Jodi Gietl, CFBC President & CEO
The third cycle of grants will be awarded in August 2023, with the third matching grant cycle focusing on the education of and development in literacy. More details about applying can be found here.
