On November 22nd, the Community Foundation of Boone County Board of Directors and Staff traveled throughout Boone County to surprise ten Boone County nonprofits each with a $2,500 check. It was the fourth annual “CFBC Day of Giving Back”. With the entire day dedicated to giving back, the CFBC team focused on the importance of continually giving back to help others.
“Thank you to our amazing donors, both past and present, for giving us the opportunity to bless some of our local nonprofit organizations with such an amazing surprise this time of year”, said Jodi Gietl, CFBC President & CEO.
In seven hours, we poured $25,000 into Boone County nonprofits to help them better serve others. The following organizations received $2,500 each: Advance Food Distribution, Boone County Mentoring Partnership, Center Stage Community Theatre, Indiana Diaper Bank, Indiana Wish, Morning Dove Therapeutic Riding Inc., Pack Away Hunger, Shalom House, SullivanMunce Cultural Center, Watch Us Farm.
Now is the time to give and see your donation combine with the gifts from local residents to make an even greater impact right here in Boone County. You can give online through our website, mail in a check, or contact us to schedule a time to talk about establishing your own fund.
