CFBC ANNOUNCES 2021 GRANT OPPORTUNITIES
February 22, 2021 – The Community Foundation of Boone County is excited to announce TWO grant opportunities to nonprofits in 2021: a spring competitive grant cycle and a community matching grant initiative.
“In 2020, we surveyed our nonprofits to see how needs changed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Based on what they told us, we adjusted our grant opportunities to best address their needs. We are continuing this granting approach in 2021 and are extremely proud to announce two open grant opportunities for Boone County-serving nonprofit organizations, to ensure our grant dollars are making the greatest impact for our local communities.” – Barb Schroeder, Director of Grants
For our 2021 spring competitive grant cycle, letters of inquiry will open March 15 and close April 12. Nonprofits interested in applying should click here to begin the process. The submission deadline for a letter of inquiry is April 12 and the nonprofits selected to submit a full proposal will be notified by April 22, 2021. Full proposals will be due May 17 and grantees will be notified by June 28.
Once again this year, we are offering community matching grants to eligible nonprofits with 501(c)(3) tax status. This application will open June 21 and participating organizations will be notified of matching dollars they are eligible for by July 29. The funds awarded through this initiative will be unrestricted for the agency. Nonprofits will have from August 1 – October 29 to raise matching dollars.
Questions should be directed to Barb Schroeder, Director of Grants: barb@communityfoundationbc.org.
