Community Foundation of Boone County’s BUILDING CAPACITY: BUILDING COMMUNITY Program Expands in 2019. Applications Now open to Boone county Serving Organizations.

The Community Foundation of Boone County is proud and excited to announce the 2019 expansion of the Building Capacity: Building Community program, CFBC’s initiative to provide activities and grants designed to improve and enhance a local nonprofit organizations’ ability to achieve its mission and sustainability.

After the success of 2018’s Building Capacity: Building Community Initiative, we are expanding programming to include six more organizations serving Boone County needs,” said Barb Schroeder, Program Director for CFBC.

In 2019, the Community Foundation of Boone County Building Capacity: Building Community Initiative will consist of two programs to choose from.

1.ROZZI LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT & EXECUTIVE COACHING PROGRAM

  • Four (4) nonprofit executive leaders will be selected for personalized executive leadership coaching and exclusive cohort learning opportunities. In 2018, Matt Wilson of the Boone County Mentoring Partnership (BCMP) began the Rozzi & Associates Leadership and Executive Coaching Program: “Participation in Rozzi and Associates’ Leadership Development Program has been life changing for me,” shares Matt Wilson. “It is the first time in my career that I have had a professional coach guiding me to develop and expand my leadership skills. This experience has given me the confidence and skills I need to manage my staff and proactively use my time more effectively.” pictured right. 

2.Deep Dive Capacity Building Grants

  • Two (2) organizations will be selected to participate in a professional consultant lead, deep dive assessment of organizational needs. CFBC will then provide a grant based on the assessment so the organization can address those needs. This program will operate on a timeline, located below. In 2018, Lebanon Community of Shalom, The Boone County Mentoring Partnership, and the Humane Society for Boone County were all selected to help take their great programs to the next level.
