CFBC ANNOUNCES 2022 IMPACT MATCHING GRANT OPPORTUNITY
the matching grant application is now closed.
The Community Foundation of Boone County is excited to announce a matching grant opportunity to Boone County-serving nonprofits in 2022.
“Through the 2020 community matching grant initiative, the Community Foundation of Boone County (CFBC) awarded $125,000 in matching dollars to multiple local nonprofit organizations working to address local unmet needs. Due to the success of the 2020 program, we continued the program in 2021 by awarding $170,000 in matching dollars to 27 participating nonprofits who collectively fundraised $680,000. It is because of these staggering numbers that the CFBC Board of Directors, Staff, and Grants Committee are excited to launch a milestone, impact matching grant opportunity for 2022, as a way to continue filling local unmet needs on a larger scale to make a greater impact.” – Jodi Gietl, CFBC President/CEO
CFBC is inviting eligible Boone County-serving nonprofits with 501(c)(3) tax status to apply for a limited number of grants of between $30,000 to $120,000 through our 2022 Impact Matching Grant Program. The grants vary in size based on demonstrated historical ability to fundraise a minimum of $30,000 and, as with previous CFBC matches, the matching funds are unrestricted for the grantee. Applicants must commit to a minimum fundraising dollar amount of $30,000, with preference given to programming focused on supporting elderly, disabled, or mental health. Sponsorships, in-kind donations, and programming gifts received by grantees during the match period are excluded and will not qualify as matching funds. Any donations in question should be brought to CFBC for review during the matching process.
The grant application will be open March 7-25 and participating organizations will be notified of matching dollars they are eligible for by April 18. Nonprofits will have from May 1-September 1 to raise matching dollars and will partake in an awards ceremony in September.
