A Note From LoveINC Executive Director, Wayne Adams:

We have received phone calls asking what items are needed by the families who lost their possessions in the Kise Apartment fire. In talking to the local Red Cross representative, we have learned that household items are the most needed items: pots, pans, plates, silverware, bed linens, towels, wash cloths, laundry soap, ... well you know, it's all of the things you use each day and never really think about because they are always there.
Personal care items are also needed. Toothpaste, tooth brushes, shampoo, soap, deodorant, toilet paper, etc. etc.
Wouldn't it be fun, too, to include a few unexpected items .. like toys for the children? This has to be a tramatic time for them! Perhaps a really special gift for the adults would be appropriate as well. Could we possibly go beyond the necessities? ... I think Christ would do that!
If you have items you would like to donate, simply call the Love INC office at (765) 482-6152. We can make arrangements with you to pick up the donated items. If you call after hours, just leave a message. We will get back with you as soon as possible.

The Community Foundation of Boone County

Founded in 1992, the Community Foundation of Boone County - often simply referred to as the Community Foundation - is a collection of charitable funds set up by individuals, families, businesses and organizations who wish to make a positive difference on a local scale. Some of our assets are unrestricted - used to meet changing needs, some support specific, local charitable organizations and others provide scholarship funds. Grants from these funds go mostly to nonprofit organizations and programs working to solve critical challenges in Boone County, however, grants can be awarded outside of Boone County. The Community Foundation helps manage and advise these funds so those grants are used as effectively as possible.
